omg, i'm so excited for those 2 games. Tho I made this thread, I think FFXIII's linearity does fit the story. I guess now that they'r not fugitives, they can start exploring the world like normal ppl.

how was it compared to xiii?

the gameplay in xiii is different but i'm getitng used to it (prefer original style tho).. i'm still early in the game so def looking forward to summons.

13's story is better imo. 13-2 had a ton of plot holes and out of character-ness.
But overall it gives you more freedom and the battle system feels a lot better.
And no annoying fake accents *cough* Vanille & Fang *cough*

^^ SE said the game went into full development in September of 2011. There were rumours of the game being quietly cancelled but SE shot that rumour down and said its still in development.

SE also confirmed FF15 to be completely open-world using the same battle system from FF12 but upgraded.

People are also saying FFversus 13 is going to be FF15. Hope not though :)

Also there is rumors from higher ups in SE that there will be a FFXIII-3? unnecessary?
