im at ch 11 now, should i do the side missions or go on with the main story line and come back later?

i did the side missions up 15, then had to continue for a bit.
Anyone can tell me what pulling hair out of those sheep do?

as for the missions.. i'd say do the one that are teleport pads.. otherwise u spend too much time walking backward once u finish the game

so... i finally deathed one.... only took 20mins of deathing to kill it... then i tried to kill one normally.. also took 20mins ~~ blah such a waste of my time | |

So what you should do is have Vanille as leader (with Fang and Hope) and summon right at the beginning of battle. You can skip the attacks and whatnot, as the purpose of the summon is to trip him.
You should use a SAB/SAB/SYN paradigm. Fang will continually debuff and Hope will buff (mainly for haste), while you spam death. Each debuff on it increases the chance of death working (or so i read)
In 1-2mins, turtle should be either dead, or standing back up, in which case, you should just exit and retry.
This should work 1 out of every 2-3 times, at least for me it does.
I can fight turtles normally now, but takes about 7-10 minutes, and relies on Fang's highwind ability to take out the legs. Trying to get this time down now.

Normally, you have to take out the left and right legs to prevent it from attacking you (he does a stomp thing) and to actually do damage to the turtle.
Summoning will take out both legs.

i use the same method ZenZa, works like a charm
for late game when you need money and a good place for CP, run back and forth at edenhall, lots of perfume and chip drops and theres an adamantoise there, esepcially good after you finish hunt 63

lol i finished hunt 63 but there's no turtle for me @ edenhall maybe coz i didn't do 58-62 yet haha i'm building my ultimate magic set  100% magic immunity.. only problem is it cost 4mil to make lol.. as for the damn turtle.. i gave up casting death on it.. i just kill it normally ~ i can knock him out downing him twice ~ so far i got 7 traps and 14 platinum igot off him in 40 kills.. not too bad ~ i stacked the item find crap on all my toons though lol

there should be the turtle for u there at edenhall, you probably have to go further down

i went back to the entrance where i'm fighting soldiers but i still don't see it =\ finally beat 62 -_- that one took me a while coz i was tinkering with methods to nuke down one of them with 1 shield down using 0 tanks lol.. multicast hurts even with 4x imperial armor =\

didn't try 64 yet, gonna level my guys a bit more first

i finished all my missions with the exception of 64 ~~ 5 stars on them all except the stupid jumbo cactus.. i got roflstomped by the long gui lol.. ultima 30k gg.. all the fuking turtle turned into one | |

you guys are hardcore, gezzzz, i got the game at the same time as everyone. sure i waited til mid last week to start playing, but am no where near as far into it as you guys.
im in the plains with vanille and the black doode (savks or whatever) just beyond the huge hedgehogs and orb controlling weather things.
taking my lazy time playing the game, walking around and levelling up.
yeah the game is a tad linear at the moment, but all ff's are like that at the beginning. the visual game play is similar to ffxii, but i love how they brought back the fighting switch scenes. learning to switch philgilmwhatever, and creating ones that are missing takes a bit of getting use to though, but once u do, its no different than creating set attacks and heals.

i really don't mind the fighting system as the fight gets progressively harder and harder it requires strategy in what character you are using and the setup required
