Speaking of timelapse, as I was merging on to the second narrows bridge via dollarton hwy i saw a dslr on a tripod at the corner of the divider. the guy was making a timelapse of the bridge i guess.
ive always wondered, do those ppl stay near their cameras? or do they leave it when doing a timelapse in a public place like that.
exactly what I checked just to see which one I was going to fail
now the fail is on me...

The whole timelapse is one of the best I've seen. Can someone tell me how are they able to move the camera as the sky turned from light to darkness. At such a speed I don't know how it's easily achievable. Even the song is written for this timelapse piece!

the camera is mounted on a tipod and pans maybe a cm every minute (depending on what your shooting).
Man, that's brutal. Hence why Timelapse movies are expensive and time consuming.
its really not that hard, you take about 30 pictures every minute. for panning you can set up motors and gears to the tripod so it can movie automatically

I read one of his comment responses to a video of his, and he said that he made a special head that would fit onto railings, which is how he got those cool motion pan-timelapses from the Cambie Bridge & etc.
