That's pretty cool to be honest.

I'm surprised they don't have more competitive athletes out there since they only have 1/6 of the world's population, and the government pays them to train full-time.

On a side note, I wonder if they even know that Vancouver is chock full of Chinese Fobs. Most Mainlanders (especially those outside the cities) think Canada is full of natives.

i find it kinda hilarious to think, any chinese immigrant spends some time preparing themselves before moving to vancouver. they get off the plane and pretty much say, wtf?! there are just as many chinese here, what was all the prepping needed for???

im all for assimalation into the canadian culture, especially some of those weird nasty habits that mainlanders bring with them. im too westernize so a lot of those habbits look like lack of mannerisms to me =/

But isn't it kinda sad if some foreigners beat canada at their own game because they are funded thru their respective government whereas our atheletes aren't?

if they beat us at it, i will congratulate them. but if people boo at them i would be sad.

If canada sponsored our athletes i think we would have a better chance at every sport
