I'm under some pretty heavy cancer medication and for whatever reason feel extremely down. I usually hit up youtube to find things that cheer me up, and God damn Norm Macdonald just does not fail to make me laugh. Anyone else here a fan ?
I'm not even sure what's so funny about his comedy - it almost seems like "Anti-Humor" with his slurred speech and delivery. The conference with the Clinton administration is absolutely epic too.

I seem to remember he got fired from the weekend update spot cause he was always making fun of OJ Simpson every week and one of the NBC executives was a good friend of OJ's so he had him replaced. But that could have been just a rumor.

That was Darrell Hammond playing Connery. Norm McDonald was Burt Reynolds as Turd Furgeson. Wearing a hat that was funny because it was larger than a normal hat.
And yes OP, Norm is awesome. I've had a few members of my family pretty out of it from cancer drugs so I know what you're feeling like. Best wishes man.

He was actually fired from SNL, here's the episode of Letterman the day he was fired.
On a side note thank you everyone for the well wishes, I did not mean to inadvertently turn this into a pity thread lol. While no one really expects or wishes to get a disease, you have to just realize one day that this is life, and these are the cards that you are dealt. As a person I have no choice but to push through, I am relatively young and have all the time in the future to chase my dreams. It isn't so much the actual cancer that's making me depressed, but the medications - If that makes sense. I feel lethargic, extremely tired, and just generally sluggish while being awake. The actual worst part of the medication is that I can't keep food down.
Regardless enough of the depressing banter ! Norm is coming to town (according to his myspace http://www.myspace.com/normmacdonald). Does anyone know where I can grab tickets ?
