Sushi Garden finally open - Lougheed

I passed through there and saw people inside. Looks reasonably filled with people. Anybody been there and can compare it to the Kingsway location?

It's by Fat Burger IIRC, so Lougheed and Willingdon.

I went there last night and it's actually the same size as the other location. It might look smaller in width but length wise it can pretty much fit the same amount of tables as the kingsway location. Plus the atmosphere is much nicer and there's a "take out waiting area" and a waiting area in the front. The food taste the same as the other location.

Here for fun i'll post the "aesthetics" of the food at this location. I forgot to take photos of the place inside.

Close! But to be more exact, Lougheed and Madison, where the Staples is.

Yes its extremely small and the quality is terrible compared to Kingsway, I recommend no one go to the Lougheed Hwy location and just go to Kingsway.

OK seriously the new location on Lougheed Hwy is superior and I just hope its not always super busy. Inside it looks to be equal in size or larger than the Kingsway location in terms of table seating. They also left an ample open space near the cash register so long line ups there don't get so close to people sitting and eating. The tables are spaced much wider so you're not getting bumped by waitresses or patrons walking up and down the aisles. The decor is modern inside and a lot nicer than Kingsway, plus I felt that noise and conversation travelled less so its quieter overall.

This past Saturday night they had five sushi chefs behind the counter like the Kingsway location, and food was being put out very quickly. Everything I ordered arrived exactly like how it would be at the old location, so no complaints about consistency. I don't know how long they've been open and if anyone is spreading the word, but this past Saturday it was packed at dinner time, and it will probably get more busy in the weeks to come. Keep in mind that due to the spacing inside and the lower noise levels it actually felt less chaotic and more relaxing to eat there during a busy night compared to the Kingsway location.

FYI: There are no signs up yet, but like Kingsway you must walk down to the cash register area to give them your name for a table. If you just walk in and wait by the front door for a hostess you'll be wasting time.
