Good...finally a character that Seth Rogen can somewhat resemble!! Considering that the Green Hornet is NOT FUNNY, this will hopefully be the second movie where hes trying NOT to make people laugh.

Jsunu 02-05-2010 08:00 AM

Seth Rogen.... as the green hornet.... WHYY

ae101 02-11-2010 03:16 PM

skyxx 06-21-2010 11:52 PM

Oh dear Jay chou....

celica-g5 06-21-2010 11:54 PM

Is it just me or does Jay Chou totally resemble John Cho in the trailer?

palepilsenpin0y 06-22-2010 10:54 AM

I personally like it. It looks great!

^ And yeah he def looks a lot like John Cho here. Haha

Kaolinite 06-22-2010 11:39 AM

wow. this movie will fail with jay chou in it

StylinRed 06-22-2010 03:52 PM

Should have still been Stephen Chow behind the movie...

G 06-22-2010 04:06 PM

dachinesedude 06-22-2010 06:40 PM

how can seth rogan not be funny, just looking at his face makes me laugh lol

Culture_Vulture 06-23-2010 10:54 PM

no bruce lee no care

edit: jay chow definitely no care

AzNightmare 06-30-2010 07:41 PM

I disagree. There's gonna be a ton of Jay Chou fans that would watch this movie just
because Jay Chou's in it.

For those that aren't gonna watch it because of Jay Chou, you guys weren't gonna
watch it anyway in the first place.

PUPPY 01-14-2011 03:05 PM

watching this today !
should be a worthwhile movie
jay chou and seth rogen ;)

Sky_2000 01-14-2011 04:47 PM

They put Jay Chou in this movie cause they knew that if it failed in the USA they could at least break even showing it in China to the 1.3 billion people there.

Culture_Vulture 01-15-2011 12:43 AM

gotta somewhat retract my original comment,
watched it today to see how Jay Chou fills Bruce Lee's shoes.

I'm actually pleasantly surprised. Usually Seth Rogen films are hit or miss, but this one had a good balance of comedy and cool gadgets. Trailer undersells the movie.

On that note though, Jay Chou still can't act worth shit. But he had a few good one liners.

Mizter 01-15-2011 11:42 AM

^Maybe its just me but I found it hard to understand what he says at times.

Agree with the balance of comedy.

shenmecar 01-15-2011 06:36 PM

It was VERY difficult to make out what Jay Chou tries to say. I'm gonna rewatch this movie with subtitles when it comes out on DVD.

imdb failed at getting Jay Chou's name right even though its on the movie poster http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0990407/
NOTE: I dont know why it comes up with two lines when i post the link here.

noTirl 01-15-2011 07:44 PM

Went and saw this last night. Wasnt great but was that bad either.

AzNightmare 01-16-2011 03:39 AM

It was alright. Pretty good balance with funny one liners and action.
3D wasn't necessary though. I went soley because of Jay Chou though,
otherwise I would have just waited for DVD release... or at the very least,
not watch it on the first day it's out. (I usually never watch movies on opening day)

I enjoy Seth Rogan though. One of the few comical actors I find funny. And his last
few movies made me laugh quite a bit. Jay Chou's English wasn't good, but I figured out
everything he was saying... probably because I saw the movie already expecting non-
perfect English. So those that were expecting him to speak like a white man, no shit you
wouldn't understand then.

Anyway, doesn't matter. If you enjoyed it, you enjoyed it. And if you hated it
because you don't know who the actors are or rated it without watching it... then.. yea.

FN-2199 01-16-2011 07:47 AM

3D definitely wasn't necessary at all (except for the mind boggling credits). Seth Rogen isn't over the top and annoying and is always enjoyable to watch.
Jay Chou's English sucked big time, but it kind of reminded me of Rush Hour, where the foreigner is always hilarious due to his ESL-ness.

J-Chow 01-16-2011 10:33 AM

hmm . . . . I guess I could take some time out of my schedule to watch my asian brother in action. :troll:
