I don't know what the point of this company is but I think it's if you don't make monthly payments on your car or anything they seize it from you... anyways this is listed on the site. Gallardo SE.
The guy drove it almost everyday for the last few years.. don't know what's up.

GabAlmighty 02-06-2010 10:34 AM

You miss your payments 3 months in a row, the bank hires the repo man to take your car.. :D

no, repo one has 47k km

jing 02-06-2010 07:04 PM

Could've sworn I saw this thing ripping down Lougheed yesterday. Looked pretty dirty, a possible indication that it is daily driven and so it might be the same one?

borabora 02-07-2010 01:13 AM

Is this the one driven by the skinny bald white guy?

DavidNguyen 02-07-2010 07:56 AM

why? r u goona buy it?

Harvey Specter 02-07-2010 02:14 PM

You'll be nuts to buy a Lambo with 47k on it.

Maintenance costs, high mileage means more likely of failures, clutch replacement, etc...plus high mileage exotics have awful resale value. You might as well take the $100,000 or whatever this car is worth and flush it down the toilet.

umpadupa 02-07-2010 03:46 PM

^ hes got a point... cuz after u buy it.. ull prob enjoy another 20k km on it...

If its at a good price (under $100k) I dont think it's that bad of a deal. I mean it's probably going to function better then a lambo with 10k on it that sits in the garage for 6 months that will probably have many future mechanical problems.

winks 02-08-2010 08:17 AM

what does this guy drive now? wonder how much repo guys will sell for

Resale costs aside, my friend is the brand manager for Lambo in HKG and I met up with him for dinner last month. He and another sales guy were saying that after VW took over, Lambo quality has gone up so much that the dealerships are struggling to make income from repair work and other such aftersales streams. I don't know what the actual stats are but coming from them it seems pretty reputable.

not trying to discredit what you're saying so what's making these exotics so unreliable after 50k?

and I assume most exotics owner could care less about resale value...okay maybe if they bought it 2nd hand originally.

StylinRed 02-08-2010 11:16 AM

got a call from repo saying the car will be ready soon with the price and they'll call me to let me know its up for grabs

but adds that its first come first serve

he says he thinks it'll be around 80k

Resell for parts?

q0192837465 02-08-2010 11:45 AM

wow, 80k is a steal

hk20000 02-08-2010 11:47 AM

a gallardo with more than 25k km on it is likely to catch fire.

Phil@rise 02-08-2010 12:23 PM

The mileage doesn't lend to reliability issues but its due for maintenance mainly clutch and brakes both of which are very pricey on a lambo.

Well the cost of replacement parts is sky high and like already mentioned the clutch and brakes are very expensive to replace. The clutch especially because I've read that the Gallardo clutch is around over $5000(US) to replace and I can't imagine what the hourly service rates are.

And forget high milage exotics, most people won't touch older BMW's or Mercedes because their worried about parts and service costs.
