Opinions please.. |
Base price seems attractive but once you start adding stuff to it, gets pretty pricey. |
4.5lbs is way too heavy and its such a rip off in HK... they are asking for $13999 for it, even tho its optioned out. but buying from Dell USA for the exact same spec would cost around 8k HKD |

Agreed, but you only really need to get the CPU upgrade from Dell. Everything else is cheaper to upgrade yourself. The only issue is that it looks like a ricer. |
looks pretty sleek and decent preformance. i bet once u do some upgrades here and there, the lap will range $1500 + |
256SSD by itself will be like $400+ haha |

the netbook/semi-gaming computer |
i'm going to buy this, but going to get the dual core upgrade. |
i have this preordered, cpu + ram upgraded. since my old netbook broke down. i hav been following it ever since it was annouced at CES |
I just ordered one as well.. - Core 2 Duo SU7300 1.3GHz (can be overclocked to 1.7GHz in BIOS) - 4GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 800MHz - 11.6" WideHD 1366x768 (720p) WLED - 1GB nVidia GeForce GT335M - 500GB Sata II 7200rpm - Bluetooth 2.1 and SIM card slot for 3G wifi The Bluetooth option is not in the Canadian website, request them to add Bluetooth to your setup by giving them a call or talk to a representative from the Chat window.. |
no idea how much but this sony is even better http://www.sonystyle.com.hk/ss/produ...pcz117gg_e.jsp 13.1" with 1920x1080 LCD Core i7 w/ 8GB ram 4x 64GB SSD running in RAID 0 GT330M and only 3.1lbs! |
^ base model starts at 2k |
the specs are very impressive for the sony, I won't be surprised if that model is close to 3000 USD true HD on a 13.1" screen, and 4x SSD in RAID 0, all in a package that weight 3.1 lbs only thing missing is a bluray drive. |
that processor just leaves way more to be desired for the price... |

damn the case looks so cheap on that dell lol. but looks liek a wicked laptop |
I think the purpose of M11x is not to be the fastest, most powerful gaming laptop.. but one that is the size of a netbook, with Class 2 discreet videocard that has enough power to run most/all current games at high resolution with high (not max) details with good fps.. all this.. with an affordable price of under $1000.. I'm sure there are smaller, lighter, better looking laptops out there.. but pricewise.. for 11.6".. there's not much available in the market right now. |
do people really need to be gaming on a 11.6" screen on the go? |
^ Sure why not? I can play left4dead on the airplane. :lol |
You can play Mass Effect 2 on it. 'nuff said. |
Next Gen to be released this month with Core I3, I5 and I7 processors http://www.slashgear.com/alienware-m...-june-2386617/ |
