WOW did Canada ever give us a heart attack..then again
As i said in the Canuck thread, or even here earlier, it takes one hot goalie on his head to carry the momentum and thats exactly what Hiller and Halak did tonight. Props to those two
Demitra fucking undressed Brysgalov, heres a guy that AV likes to use on the shootout and tonight, we see the reason why.
As for the Swiss, damn, that trap makes Jaques Lemeire's trap system look like child's play. At the same time, the active stick work and coverage on the PK for the swiss really gives them a slight shot to make some noise.

Just got home right now from downtown. I went to Russia/Slovakia game and it was the best atmosphere of any hockey I've ever been too. It didn't even feel like I was sitting in GM Place or Vancouver plus the place was packed with the hottest women. I got stuck sitting beside a large group from the Netherlands who didn't know much about hockey but knew about Ovie. Super nice people and it turned out that they work at the heineken house in Richmond and said they would hook me up if I ever come down. They also gave me a free heineken jacket and some lollipops, lol.
Anyways, we went to Barnone after because we know the bouncers. It was packed to the max, even VIP was packed but none bigger than Ryan Kesler and Patrick Kane. I've seen Kesler before clubbing and he's the biggest dick so he walks in with his cap over his eyes like a movie star, a few mins been in VIP he decides to take his hat off to see if anyone is looking at him and obviously no one gives a shit. A few more mins pass and he's standing with some chick and some guy wearing a team Canada shirt in his 40's walks up to him with his hand out and Kesler looks at him and turns his back. He did that to a couple of people before leaving the club but not before bumping in to a few people and spilling their drinks. Dude seriously needs to get his ego in check.
Patrick Kane on the other hand was cool. I can't believe how small this guy is and I'm even more shocked he plays hockey. He has no muscles and I think he's barely 5'10. He was walking around the VIP area by himself and drunk as fuck so he comes and stands beside us. I look over and I'm like no way, it's 20 cent. He laughed and we told him Canada was going to kick their ass on Sat, he mumbled something under his breath and smiled.
Anyways it was a great night and a great atmosphere at the game and out on the streets. God, I just wish we could have parties like this all year around.
Here's some pic's from the game;

Of the players even agreed. Posted via RS Mobile | I remember seeing that poll, the question surveyed to NHL players was which player complains the most, and if I recall correctly close to 60% said Crosby, the next closest person was Avery I think at only 7%. It wasn't even close.

Once the initial 3 shooters have gone, you can reuse shooters right away, hell you could have the same shooter shot 10 times in a row after the initial 3 if you wished. There are a few IIHF rules that are different than NHL ones, such as if you lose your helmet, you must pick it up and put it back on right away or get off the ice.

I hope Demitra keeps playing well with Gaborik during the olympics just so NY would perhaps want to trade for him LOL
If not, I still hope he keeps playing well to give him a boost when the regular season comes back!

If not, I still hope he keeps playing well to give him a boost when the regular season comes back! | Only problem with that is Demitra isn't playing with Gaborik, Demitra is centering a line with Marcel and Marian Hossa.

the came back from the sweden game. forsberg was invisible. sedins were working their magic without burr. franzen is a fucking giant in person. Kronwall is a BEAST! this guy can hit. I wish we had this guy.
I think sweden has the best "TEAM" game. they have sick cycling. I think they are the best puck possesion team in the tournament .

How many cuts and bruises and teeth does a person have to lose before...... sorry I guess I'm one of the few who think highly of him.

US beat Swiss 3-1
Canada barely beat the Swiss.
Are we gonna get our arse handing to us this Sunday?

No. And, the above reasoning is not valid. This is sport. Too many variables.
