Olympic photo meet Sun. feb.14
 

Im gonna go around downtown on a photowalk and take pics of the vancouver scene during the olympics tomorrow. Anyone without a significant other or dont have valentines to worry about wanna join on the walk? prolly go in the early afternoon and walk around till it gets dark and check out the concert at live city yaletown. Gonna hit up the first nations pavilion, up and down granville, livecity yaletown, the torch. and burrard bridge for some lights.

ps anyone knw the exact location of the olympic flame? lol its around pan pacific i think.

its on google, west side of the new convention centre

That sounds like fun! Would be much better than sitting at home :) If I can borrow my brother's camera I might tag along, probably won't be any good at taking photos, but gotta start somewhere right? :D

Great idea. I was thinking about hanging around downtown myself, was gonna go see if I could take pics of protesters today, but slept in.

I was down there today, we saw the flash mob!!

and the flame is fenced off so u cant get close

what are your guys' numbers. Give me a call. i'll be downtown around 1-2pm ish. Damn cant get close to the flame? can you see it without getting the fence? im just going to bring my 24-70, maybe should get a telephoto...

RS mini photo meet! Tons of ppl and tourists w/ cameras down there these few days. great opportunity to get some pics without getting stared at for pointing a big lens at someone! Should prolly meet at Yaletown round house station then make our way up granville to first nations then up to waterfront or hop on the train there, then at night make our way back to the concert at yaletown livecity.

I'll probably go Downtown next Saturday. As much as I am opposed to this fiasco, I wanna see where my tax dollars went.

On another note, I was just walking around downtown today, and the Flame is like fenced off and guarded big time.

I'm gonna be there tomorrow, but not sure what time yet. I've got tickets to the 6:30pm show for one of the victory ceremonies. So I dunno how early I'm gonna go there. Probably 1 or 2ish.

I'll probably go down there myself if it's not raining. Will call to meet up if I go. Cheers.
