If I remember correctly they charge different prices for mount and balance for different size wheels. So someone with 18s would pay less than someone with 19s

But i also havent been there since last summer so maybe thats changed

Ya just to clarify i got winter tires dismounted and summer tires mounted and balanced for 140 - which i thought was fair and didnt even mind paying more as long as it was a quality job (what i previously experienced at Advance)

Don't they have that special mounting machine that is "touchless" or whatever. That ferrari uses? I remember seeing that on their previous website. Maybe they sold that machine now? Something definitely touched and raped my rims.

Any other shops that have that high tech mounting machine that you guys know of? I'm really disappointed that Advance has gone downhill. I just got a new car and was excited to get some new wheels and performance mods at a place I could trust and was comfortable with. I guess now I have to find somewhere else..................

when i was calling around i got quotes between $25-35 per tire! BEFORE tax!
what happened to the good ol days where it was $15 a tire?

good thing i know a guy who does it for cheap.

just to chime in about prices when i worked there

prices were for each tire for mounting&balancing:
$15 for 16" and under
$20 for 17"
$25 for 18"
$35 for 19"
$45 for 20"

$5 to dismount

just to mount or just to balance was 1/2 the price listed.

prices are and still are on par with most places.

unless u go to some el super cheap place that has a tire machine that is older than u.

Yeah. Let's have some fucktard who gets paid minimum wage to mount tires on your expensive rims.
But you save $10 WHOLE DOLLARS ON EACH ONE! THATS LIKE $40!.
$40 < Scratched rims.

But to fuck up when you have such a nice machine and charge that much is bullshit.

dont know why ppl aint willing to pay a bit more on mounting their fresh rims. I mean we are talking what? 40-60 dollar more at the most? vs couple thousand dollar rims? it should be next to nothing

Mounting the rims isn't a problem. Mounting the tires is the issue here.

The thing you're all forgetting is, the quality of work isn't based on the shop, it's based on the people working there.

A guy with no experience using a Corghi machine will fuck up just as much as guy using an old school pry bar style machine. Trust me I've seen it happen.

That being said, most of you are getting ripped off at the prices I'm hearing.

I've done 25 series 22" with no problem scratching the rims, both reverse mount and regular mount styles on the OLD school prybar machines. Like i said it really depends on who does it, and the experience level they have.

And 125 bucks to swap on tires? It's roughly 40/50 bucks at my place and I'll even balance them for free. 125 is how much it costs to balance/mount. Yikes.
