ticket in the mail

so i got a ticket from the abby pd in the mail today (feb 17). it was for my front tint, i had no idea they could do this. (the last time i was in abbotsford was for the bike show which was months ago)
anyways its only to remove it and to report to the police department, or inspection center, however if i go into either of these places are they going to inspect my car further even if the tint is visibly off?

If there are things that are glaringly wrong with the vehicle, they may issue further tickets. Other than that, they may do a walk-around of the vehicle and send you on your way.

A VT has to be personally served so what you got in the mail was NOT a ticket. Sounds like you got a Notice and Order # 3 which, if you read what is says, requires you to "immediately " remedy the defect and report to Abby Police before the date indicated on the N&O. It's simple. We're assuming that your car had tint on it on the date shown on the N&O, so if it's gone, just do what it says. The vehicle should be inspected to show that it is in compliance now.

If you have other problems that are glaringly obvious and illegal as well, I suggest that taking care of them before you go to the Police Station. Technically you "could" be issued a VT and another inspection order if you do not comply, even for a # 3 VI..it's not common, but legally possible. Show up with the tint removed and chances are there will be no further problems. You obviously attracted their attention at the bike show, chances are that you will again...and next time is going to get lotsa expensive.
