any one know if when you have an eyesight issue if you can apply to rcmp/ vpd and skip the eyesight requirement until you find out if you got in not and just do surgery or something after?

I can't imagine that they would proceed with an application if there is doubt that you can meet the eyesight requirements. My son applied a few years back and he needed laser surgery to meet the standard. KIt is not 100% guaranteed. They said get the surgery and come back if your eyes are up to par. It would be a huge waste of time and money to go ahead. IMHO.

Yup. Same thing happened to me. Just apply once you can fulfill all the requirements. Delta police on other hand allows you to wear contacts I believe.

ya i mean i wear contacts now but i can kinda understand why they don't want you to have anything in your eyes or anything since it would mean that if u get pepper sprayed or something you would hav ot be putting ur fingers in youyr eye ot take out the contacts etc
