| n00b Q: Enough power for 2 ohm DVC?
I have a 4ch amp, with my current SVC sub bridged to the 3rd/4th channel that has minimum nominal input of 125W.
Would it have sufficient power for a 2 Ohm DVC sub with 1000w max/350w RMS, in series for a 4 ohm load?

What kind of box? What kind of car? What size power wire are you using? What name brand of amp?

It sounds like it's time for a better amp for that application. Yours is only 35 watts x 4 RMS. You'll be way happier with more like 150 watts x 2 RMS.
I have an amp like that at the shop. You can have it for $300.00. It's a Memphis Audio. It's a bit of a monster. It peaks out at about 1000 watts. That would make your car VERY loud!

I need a 4ch amp as the amp is powering my front components as well as the sub.

Could always buy a 3 or a 5 channel amp.
It's really isn't much harder to add a 2nd amp.
Audison used to make a 3 channel amp. It put out good power too.

Digital Designs S4A is 100X2 and 200X2. We use them all the time to run fronts and bridge 3+4 for the sub. Great, clean power!
