I decided to dig up more information to see what's what with these guys... Apparently the guys APPLIED to be on a show (over 800 applicants applied). There was NO prize offered and NO incentive to join, other than the fact you will be professionally "transformed" and be put on TV. The first video I posted was from a section of a bigger TV Gameshow "Gakko e ikou! MAX" (essentially "Schoolyard Mania"), guys were brought in and make up and clothing was done professionally, with 4 guys chosen near the end of the series to appear in a premiere Tokyo Fashion Show (Tokyo Girls Collection) at the end. The second video I posted was from a similar program, but fully dedicated to this boygirl thing. I don't know the name exactly but from what I can tell from my basic knowledge of Japanese, the guys did not apply themselves, but rather their girlfriends nominated them for the show. The makeup and clothing was then done by the girlfriends, not professionally. and I was wondering how much they were getting paid to do this.....:cry: |
