Judge Joe Brown - Cheap wedding photographer

I thought this was absolutely halarious, so I decided to make a new thread for it :haha:

m3thods 03-02-2010 10:07 PM

HAHAHAHAHAHAH OMG THAT WAS SO FUNNY!

man lol pro photographers with xTi kits :haha::haha::haha::haha:

and damn judge joe knows his cameras!

ilvtofu 03-02-2010 10:10 PM

lol that really is some pathetic equipment used for a paid wedding photo shoot
damn that defendant was really ugly and what a bitchy attitude I'd love to punch her in the face >.<

EDIT:

Lol I'm not a wedding photographer but i'd imagine the 70-300 on the Xti wouldn't be very useful no?

LOL

"these aren't gonna be the sharpest in the world if they are enlarged"
"those are enlarged!"

lmfao...

and there are no pics of the inside of the church >.<

it looks like the bitch has some food stuck between her teeth and is trying to get it out the whole time
LOL watched it a few times :D

ecchiecchi 03-02-2010 10:16 PM

"there's also a 70-300 that we have too"

"what speed is it"

"I don't know"

LOL

vietfx 03-02-2010 10:40 PM

LOL man this video has gone viral.. I've seen it on a couple of forums already.

"where is your 28-70..." LOL seems like JJB knows quite a bit about photography, considering that would be their fastest lens.

tiger_handheld 03-02-2010 11:03 PM

the pro photogs got showed up by a black man in a robe... OWNED!

J____ 03-02-2010 11:28 PM

bitch deserved it. her stubborness and unprofessionalism is an embarrasement to photographers. Then again, what would you expect when you pay $1300 for a wedding photographer.

keitaro 03-03-2010 12:03 AM

Judge Joe Brown is awesome...and a Canon shooter too! I hope that the defendant does advertise themselves anymore. Good on the newlyweds to go after them.

Senna4ever 03-03-2010 12:38 AM

The Judge was a little biased though. You can't expect a $1300/day wedding photographer to use a 1D series body/5DmkII and or a "28-70".

Mananetwork 03-03-2010 12:44 AM

:haha:

Nismo200SX 03-03-2010 12:46 AM

funny video indeed. I feel sorry for the 100's of weddings they supposedly done in the past. The one youtube comment that mentioned the details on the photos really explained a lot of things as to why the photos looked so bad.

There's nothing wrong with an XTi, as long as you use the appropriate lenses, which that particular 'photographer' didn't use. I know of a few photographers who have them as back-ups. You'd be surprised how many photographers use Walmart or Costco for prints. The average person wouldn't know the difference between Fuji Crystal Archive paper and Fuji Professional Crystal Archive paper anyway. There are two sides to this story, and the Judge did not hear the defendant out, or let her at least try and defend herself. In the end it was her attitude - one that in a real court would have her sitting in jail for contempt of court.

Hehe 03-03-2010 08:26 AM

Yeah, I think XTi is fine. The photog who took my friend's wedding had it as a 3rd backup camera.

But besides the poor choice of lenses, the photographer in question clearly had no idea about some basic photography knowledge. You could tell by when judge Joe asked her what speed was the 70-300 and she had no idea.

She probably thought, hey, I bought a DSLR, I'm a photographer, let's go out and do some busineeessseeeee

That being said, the couple probably should have done a little research. Many pro wedding photographer list their equipment in their resume, when you see only 2 lenses and 1 body, you should know this is not what a real pro will do.

I dont think so. The average person has no idea what zoom ranges or f-stop speed mean at all. To them, an XTi with an 18-55 and a 70-300 might be the same as a 1Dmk3 with a 24-70 f2.8L and a 70-200L. To them, it's just numbers! They just know that photo equipment is expensive and to them, the more you spend, the better the pictures lol

CP.AR 03-03-2010 03:39 PM

"WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR 1 SERIES"
:haha::haha:

What if she DID use flash? would she use the pop-up on her Xti?

Yes, but I'd expect a pro photog to own a lot of equipments.

I'm not sure about other photog, but the one my friend used (he's fairly famous in LM, won't mention name here for privacy of my frd) his equipment list is almost a page long. And that doesn't include small stuff like stand/flash.. etc. Just camera and lenses.

In their contract, he even listed out the equipments and amount of assistant+car that he would be bringing so the couple can prepare the appropriate parking space and some other small details. But then I think it got something to do with their pricing/insurance policy, because this particular photog can also shoot in MF, but pricing is different. So he maybe listed it to avoid any future problem.

people that know nothing of photography won't know this. most people (myself included) don't know the differences between certain cameras, and you can only shoot one at a time so...

niforpix 03-04-2010 09:33 PM

Wow lol! "Professional" photographer? She doesn't even know what F-stop she was shooting at when the judge asked her... Hilarious!

[HuCk DuCk] 03-04-2010 11:22 PM

XTi is fine, but the KIT LENS?????

Ducdesmo 03-07-2010 03:57 PM

Definitely not the best lenses for the job, but you get what you paid for. The problem is misrepresentation. At what point do you label yourself as a professional? When you own top of the line equiptments? Or when your day job is photography? These people look like they are nothing more than photography enthusists.

Buyers beware! Research everything!

1exotic 03-07-2010 04:11 PM

yeah xti is fine, i use one... but 18-55 common lol, they got paid $1300...

stupid American retarded ladies that have no idea what they're doing.

ilvtofu 03-07-2010 04:32 PM

You know now that I watched this video for the 10th time, come to think of it I bet a lot of us here with a good point and shoot could've taken similar quality pictures if not better than the ones these "professionals" took

Soundy 03-07-2010 09:43 PM
