Logitech G25 shifter help

Hey guys with a G25, how do you change from the up/down gearing to the 5 speed shifting?

I know there is the knob that you turn but the g25 I'm looking at is on the up/down setting and when I try to turn the knob it pushes the shifter up and gets stuck half way, does it have to have power to it?

You have to push down like putting it in reverse then turn the dial..

FYI, PS3 will auto see the sequential shifter if you are playing on PC then you have to assign the keys. because sequential is assigned with 1st and 2nd gear. so if you went back to h-pattern then you would have to reassign ur 1st and 2nd gear.

^ dragon i never quite understood how sequential works on the PS3. I don't have to set up anything? How would the system know I want to be shifting between 1st and 2nd in H-pattern or up and down for sequential? The dial is on the shifter setting not paddles.

When you turn the dial for the sequential shifter a light comes on saying its engaged in sequential mode its all electronic so the system know. So for example GT5P if you were driving the S2000 then you get the choice of H-shifter or sequential. Now if you were driving the R35 well in real life it doesnt have a H-shifter so you HAVE to switch to sequential for it to work.. When in sequential mode both shifter and paddles do the same thing.. Also if in GT5P if you want to use the clutch you have to wait until the race literally starts then you press the "triangle" button and clutch is now available.

For PC because it has the Logitech profiler, games do not recognize whether you are in sequential or H-patter. That is why when you change back and forth from h-pattern to sequential you have to reconfigure the keys(this also depends on the game)

I just got accepted to try the new beta Need for speed:World

Damn servers arent up until tomorrow...

That's what I thought, but my shifter is locked when I have the dial turned to sequential so I'm forced to only use paddles?? Is this not supposed to happen?

Not too sure exactly what you mean.. You do know that the sequential shifter isnt supposed to move only nudge up and down... When you pull down does it shift up for you? or does noting at all(in game)? I'm assuming you are also running GT5P?

It should no problem.. Unless you know for sure it doesnt work. It would be good to have a 100% answer.
