How to impress at dinner with your new bike Wonder how many times they tried this before. |
fake but hilarious |
Cool lol. |
hilarious! |
time to try that on my bicycle |
haha |
That's a freakin' nice bike... |
^ How do you know it's fake? Looked real to me. They might've had to do more than 1 take though. ;) Actually the strange part is you'd think the bike would need a bit more distance to run up to speed. |
it looks like theres a another layer between the items on the table and the sheet |
cool commercial nonetheless |

The important part of that is there is slack for him to gain just a little bit of speed before it starts tugging. If it was taut to begin with, I don't think it would work. |

Doesn't look all that impressive either, not the same effect with the bike IMO |

if they use a very slippery table cloth material and very heavy plates, physics will tell you that the force you can put on it is very small because your friction coeficent is very low. plus, more weight the plates are, the more force you need to accelerate it. In conclusion, it could be real if you put some thoughts into it. all you need is the mass of the plates, friction coefficient of the plates and glasses on the cloth, the acceleration of the bike and you can calculate if that's possible. |
^ Finally, someone who actually takes physics into account instead saying ZOMG it "looks" impossible therefore it must be fake. You guys are awesome. Not saying that commercial wasn't CG, but it definitely should be possible. Mind you I don't think they used a regular table cloth (not slippery enough) or regular plates (not heavy enough). |

Ok not fake. it really happened, but with a bit of help. Magnets on the plate and under the table, teflon tape or non-stick spray onto the bottom of the plates and supperware, or a clear sheet of plastic between the table cloth and dinner ware. Newton's law of inertia. So do you still want some beach front property? |
^ Sure, got pics? :D |
