i guess i should preserve my crisp bills before we change over to the plastic bills just like how some people have the old school 1 dollar and 2 dollar bills

Manic! 03-06-2010 05:13 PM

Plastic money rocks. They have it in Mexico. Left some in my pocket when I went for a swim in Mexico and it was like new when I came out.

SkinnyPupp 03-06-2010 06:08 PM

They've been using plastic for the $10 bills for about 4 years now in HK. And it is GREAT! I wish all bills were made of plastic. I never had problems with them sticking together, in fact they slide across each other easier than paper money. And best of all they don't get all folded and wrinkled (and soaked in peoples' filth) like paper money.

i hated vietnamese money, the plastic material makes the money stick together so miscounting happened to me alot and generally made it harder to count money

i agree and the bills dont distinguish themselves very well. Could mix up the many zeros among differnt bills

scottsman 03-06-2010 06:28 PM

I find it quite the opposite. The American Money sticks worse than the plastic Vietnamese Money.

Anyways its nice to go swimming or forget your money in the wash and not have to worry when you pull it out.

scottsman 03-06-2010 06:30 PM

BTW that guy in the video sucks at counting money. Vietnamese are insanely fast.

hotong 03-06-2010 06:33 PM

w0w that is fucked up

i've always wanted to learn how to count the asian way..the middle eastern way looks the most impressive

They could also take this opportunity to get rid of the fucking looney and tooney. Plastic $1 bills would be FINE. Cheaper to keep in circulation, and more convenient for everyone.

if "plastic" is anything like the hong kong $10 bill, then i'm all for this idea
that stuff is impossible to tear, looks cool too

but monopoly money is nothing like the hk $10bill =\

TOS'd 03-06-2010 11:17 PM

yea, the HK $10 is amazing. for those against this idea, they probably havent felt one of these. makes counting my stacks of $14 bills easier, cause im ballin.

skyxx 03-07-2010 12:02 AM

I used to live in Brunei and we had Plastic bills for a while now and they're pretty cool! They last longer and the bills don't wear out and get cut in half due to it being folded a "billion" times. Oh and to add some more info, "polymer" bills have better "security" measures.

Not me...

HK $10 is godlike. I like how it's smaller compared to the other guys too

The_AK 03-07-2010 01:31 AM

Now all those rap videos with rappers saying "Get paper" will be meaningless!

I disapprove
