Lol...

twitchyzero 03-06-2010 03:08 PM

if who ever took it had the complete pair of glove, stick and jersey it'll be worth 5-10x what Reebok is offering few decades down the road.

Benz_05TSX 03-06-2010 03:26 PM

How did someone steal a stick?? And walk out of the arena?

Durrann 03-06-2010 03:30 PM

if u guys found crosby's gear would u return it?

StylinRed 03-06-2010 03:32 PM

how would they know which belongs to crosby??

reebok should just bring a glove/stick out and go "yeah we got it back...."

tiger_handheld 03-06-2010 03:49 PM

Hondaracer 03-06-2010 03:50 PM

I would, the gear means a lot to Crosby. Trust me I know how that feels.

The Vancouver police have been working informally on the case, reviewing tapes from security cameras. But the police have not opened up a formal investigation into Crosby's lost gear.

Lol, so in other words the VPD is busy investigating the theft of a glove and stick from an arena.

I would, I mean he scored the overtime goal for Canada to win gold. what more could you ask for? i'm pretty sure if we were in his shoes, we'd probably want someone to return the hockey stick and gloves that were used to score the winning goal back

Not hard to, a lot of people bring sticks with flags on them. Heck, even I walked around with a stick and a flag and sometimes the flag was used as a cape and the stick as a stick.

hi-revs 03-06-2010 05:41 PM

yes, return it and go to jail for theft...

Gnomes 03-06-2010 05:44 PM

I'm not a hockey fanatic but how often do hockey sticks break?

"A company spokesman in Montreal said Reebok is willing to pay the reward with no questions asked to anyone who can return Crosby's gear.

every 3-5 minutes of play in NHL lol

most people who play competitive hockey at a high level [armature] might only use 1 one piece stick throughout a whole season

the new one piece sticks such as the Bauer One95 are super strong and can flex to insane amounts, so it makes it that much crazier to watch an NHL game and see somones stick get slashed and break into 2, shows how hard they are actually slashing eachother lol

jello24 03-06-2010 06:15 PM

the game-winning stick and glove worth only $10K? wow way to undervalue our national pride, Reebok. that equipments' a national treasure man!

i'd donate that straight to the Hockey Hall of Fame if i had it...

fliptuner 03-06-2010 07:19 PM

IMO the gear is worth a lot but only in the black market. Who ever has/buys it can never show it off. It means more in the Hall of Fame than it does in some rich guys living room.

Quite a shame.

MG1 03-06-2010 07:40 PM

There's an incredible amount of stolen art and sports paraphernalia out there on the black market and in the hands of private collectors. Some people wouldn't care if they were the only ones on the planet to know they have it. It's not for showing off. A piece of history. It probably makes it even better now that others are frantically looking for it.

It was most likely stolen by a worker at GM Place. I like Luongo's theory of Hordi taking it. He says every player has a secret cubby or hiding place for shit.

thats bs, there will be questions asked.

VK79 03-07-2010 01:51 AM

10g is not even near enough to entice the thief to cough it out. I'm sure it is worth at least 5-10x on the black market.

Who would pay a 100g for that. Only people who care are Canadians. I bet there are a few guys right now having a beer in front of the equipment and in a few weeks it will be returned.
