so i ended up getting a Gigabyte m8000x gaming mouse
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=50994&...cture=Gigabyte

i originally planned on getting the CM Sentinel, but it was out of stock, and i found this instead

it's cheaper than the other gaming mouses out there (where i live at least), and i don't have any complaints so far

you can also change the weights in it, with 3x6g and 1x20g weights, it's an interesting feature but it's useless for me, i doubt i'll be changing the weights to suit different gaming.

How much did you end up paying for this one? I like my Sentinel but don't really like the fact the LED's always on. Otherwise it looks almost the same as the gigabyte one you have.

Can you change profiles on this mouse?

It was $50, Sentinel costs about $63 (I'm in HK).

I just took a look at the Sentinel, are you talking about the front LED where the wire comes out? If that's always on, I can see why you don't like it. The only part that lights up on the Gigabyte mouse is the "GHOST" part.

You can set up to 5 profiles and choose from 27 LED colours. Also can set 4 DPI settings.

Ya, they look pretty similar. I figured there's probably not a noticeable difference between the two mouses, so i went with the cheaper one.

I've been gaming with the heavy wireless mouse for so long, it took me awhile to get used to this. But I seem to be doing better now in BFBC2, aiming actually does feel more accurate.

mx518 died on me ( erratic movement at random intervals, plus locks up for a few seconds )

pricematched ncix for the gigabyte m6800 from shopbot.ca down from 24.99 to 15.99.
Can't go wrong with that price for a five button 800/1600dpi adjustable laser gaming mouse

if you dont like the LED light on the sentinel being on all the time you can acutally turn it off in the driver setting menu. Just go to the color control tab and select the first color box on both front and top and it'll be off one little cool thing about this mouse is you can upload your own little logo to the LED panel at the top.

I run funcPads exclusively. I'm not a big fan of the cloth mousepads that Qck produces... I can't seem to find the funcPads anymore, and I'll probably go with an Icemat or something hard-surfaced.

Yeah I remember the logo thing. Pretty gimmicky. I like that feature but doubt I will ever upload a logo into it. LOL
