My parents immigrated here and love Canada. They were rooting for Canada during the Olympics and didn't care that much for how China did.
I don't mind the idea of more immigrants as long as they accept the Canadian culture and treat this country as their home and not just a place of settlement.

Case in point, this skinny guy comes into the gym the other day, must have only weighed ~ 140lbs, loads on 2 plates on the bench rack, mutters to himself, for sparta, unracks the barbell and proceeds to drop it directly on his chest.

In Asia there are lots of westerners living and working and even immigrating to Asia (Japan China Korea Taiwan Singapore) and they didnt bother to learn the local language and culture, all they do is stick in their white bars after work and never assimilate, much like the Chinese here.
so I dont think anything is gonna change this. it is after all human nature.
