Curious question: Your Insurance Costs? I learnt the other day that because you guys being on the island, with less traffic, you guys get creeper insurance rates. So... For you Island dudes and dudettes, how much are your insurance rates? And what do they include? Your car? Are you a roadstar? Sorry if these seem like stupid questions...but am just wondering how big the price difference is. |
I'm a roadstar. My MS3 is only like $1100 for the year, that's with full optionals and 3 mil liability. |
93 Civic Si. 2mil liablitly and the rest of the stuff needed to drive to work and back within 15kms. 43% discount, roadstar $776 year |
02 Altima, 3mil liability, beyond 15km for work, lowest comp. and col. deductibles, 43% disc. $964 year. |
2002 Envoy 4x4 with 3 mil liability, under insured policy, pleasure only, $500 deduct, roadstar is ~ $1000/yr. From what I remember, it's about $100/yr cheaper on the island when I moved here from Chilliwack in 2002 and switched insurance. |
2004 sentra spec v, pleasure, collision, comprehensive, 2 million liability, 500$ deduct, 35% discount = ~ $1100/year |
03 g35, to and from work, 3mil liability, $300 deduct, 43% discount, under insured motorist, 1250/yr |
