Suspicious man sitting his in truck in front of my house

I live in North Burnaby and over the past two weeks I've noticed at random hours during the day this guy sitting in his truck parked right in front of my house. Last night at 12:30 I came home through my front door and he's sitting in his truck as I walk in. I stare right at his truck to make it obvious I see him. Within 15 minutes the truck is no longer there. Now at 11am he is sitting in his truck in front my house. I've noticed this for the last two weeks that he has been parking in front of my house and sitting in his car, reading the paper to eating Mcdonalds.

I am thinking of walking out to the sidewalk with a paper and pen and blatantly writing down his lisense plate number so he sees me doing this.

Any other suggestions?

Edit:
I don't think he is a neighbour.

Or you can approach the car, tap on window, and inquire why he does this, and not be a pussy.

This suggestion is the obvious one. Tap on the window, ask him if he needs help with anything because you've noticed him before.

That is such a fob thing to do. "Look out, stranger, I'm menacingly writing your license plate on a clipboard so I can post about it on Revscene because someone there will tell me how to fix your wagon"

You can always call the Burnaby RCMP non-emergency line and report him. They'll most likely send somebody by to check it out since you've been seeing him for the past 2 weeks.

Happened at my parents' place once. Turns it the guy was from ICBC, someone made an ICBC claim about not being able to work due to an accident was under surveillance.

Just go up and ask, and if you still feel uneasy about it, call the non-emergency line.

yah, they do. I was watched last year, When I approached her car she drove off, she even followed me to ironwood a few times. So I called non-emergency and found out it was ICBC.

Just make sure you have a big bottle of lube next to your bed or where you are sitting. That's just for when he comes busting through the door ass naked ready to rape you it won't hurt as bad.

they actually do that? isn't that illegal? why don't you file a claim about invasion of your privacy, it could work in the states but I'm not sure about here

When your claiming for tens of thousands of dollars, its ICBC's duty to make sure the injuries are legit for the person paying.

I encountered something like that before too. But not at home, was at work and the guy was just standing across the street walking back and forth. Hiding in a ditch, drinking coffee.

He noticed a couple ppl staring from our work and came over to tell us he's waiting to serve our neighbour papers for some lawsuit.

LOL I think if I were to ever get surveyed by ICBC, I'd buy an inflatable hammer and perhaps whatever else I can find and just walk out the front door and start "building" something.
