Get a Weber and don't look back. I used to use crappy cheap ones and they all just end up rusting down or breaking here and there.

The weber actually holds heat much better and the grills run much hotter and leaves a nice bbg mark as well.

Coal is great for slow cooking making the meat nice and tender and giving that great smoked flavour. My dad has a Q called the big green egg which is just awesome to slow cook a roast for 8hrs and making pulled pork.
