He was playing like shit after his stint at Galaxy anyway

hell overall he's had a longer record of being shitty than awesome

i bet even with his achilles done for an american or canadian team will pay him millions to be on their team though

sad day indeed
...The one gem they had? You do know that John Terry, Frank Lampard, and Steven Gerrard are english too right? In my opinion he already was proving himself to be a premier player, or at least one worthy of the right to play in the World Cup. That was the whole reasoning behind him playing basically non stop soccer between LA and Milan. He put his money where his mouth is and it sucks seeing him have to miss what he wanted so badly. Now he isn't the same Beckham as he was years ago, but I have a hard time believing people when they say he's been a shitty player. In his prime, even now to a degree, he's the guy you want taking a free kick, and he's a guy you want in your midfield.

So true. Wasn't he going to be coming off the bench for England? I always thought he was over rated. He had a great shot for PK's, but other than that he was marginal. Rooney, now that Brit can play.

theres many more that can replace him. Now his foot is fucked hes pretty much useless besides looking good. He probably has more fans than fans of his football lols walcott, lennon or milner coulde fill those spots

I would prefer Ashley Young but the other two are probably ahead. Walcotts last few games have been solid but he's far too inconsistent.

Anyways, this is good for a younger player like Milner or Young to get into the squad now that the circus known as Beckham won't be in.

even if becks didi play he would be an impact player/sub. I take lennon than walcott than milner. I heard if lennon is healthy then he'll play if not walcott might be the runner up. Becks might even travel with them the team haha
