59 km (not 59k, 59!) E30 M3 barn find (Also Ford RS200, MB 190E Evo 2) - 56k gtfo

HOLY SH*T! Not one, TWO delivery-mileage M3's (one 59k, one 92k) and a rare Ford RS200 Rally Edition!

Story is the buyer was in a hospitality suite at the Silverstone GP last year and got talking to a guy there about cars. Buyer mentions that he collects cars and he took an interest in the subject and went on to say that he had a couple of cars himself and went on to tell him that he bought 2 m3's for his son's when they were kids for future investments there now 21 and 22, which is why there are 2 identical red ones. Along with a merc evo 2 and an RS200, all brand new and unregistered.

Wait. So the buyer bought them when his sons were kids?

Mugen EvOlutioN 03-15-2010 08:17 AM

mint yes, but doesnt that mean the car has been sitting there for the past....20 years??? the car hasnt been run for that long, isnt that pretty bad for the car?

twitchyzero 03-15-2010 10:09 AM

would cars that haven't driven in 20 years be plagued with mechanical issues?

sonick 03-15-2010 10:31 AM

Nothing a few rubber seals and new fluids wouldn't fix.

c4@urdoor 03-15-2010 12:04 PM

Oh fuck.

should belong in a BMW museum

Mancini 03-15-2010 01:04 PM

This is arguably one of BMW's most admired production road cars. They also have a racing pedigree. Twenty years later and reviews of the current models often mention how they lack in driving dynamics compared to the E30.

And there's two of them. I've always loved these.

shenmecar 03-15-2010 01:11 PM

That is un-fucking-believable.

Z3guy 03-15-2010 01:12 PM

the bimmers, ford, and merc are all really rare models....especially with such low kms....I wonder how much the E30 M3s go for?.....I would say they are worth at least $30K+ USD...

!Kodamu 03-15-2010 02:39 PM

Between 50-95K Euro!!!!

"On mobile.de there was an SE with 13000km, asking price 94000Euro"

Last time I was searching for an MB Evo2. I was looking at prices of 20-40K Euro. That was a 3years ago.

according to the post on japlonik, it was reported that the cars were being sent out to be mechanically reconditioned (ie. the reason you see the cars loaded onto the transporter).

why is it no one invests in a car cover? granted the cars were stored indoors but still...

sobranie33 03-18-2010 02:20 PM
