i was born in montreal... visit about once a year and people def dont have the vancity type attitude

nammers there arent shady either. a lot of them have respectable jobs... doctors lawyers etc

That sounds about right - Vietnamese who spoke French would typically have been professionals prior to the fall of Saigon.

Montreal is a great city... to visit. During my last visit, I met up with an old friend who has lived in the city for well over a year and is completely bilingual. She didn't exactly have glowing things about to say about the underlying attitudes of the people there. I also had a taste of what she talked about during an evening on the town with some buddies.
