best wireless router for online gaming?

can anybody recommend the best wireless router for online gaming? games such as modern warfare 2. I currently have the linksys wrt54g2, best i got was 50ms ping and a lot of times are pretty laggy. thanks!

wireless + online gamming do not mix. Just a wire connection.

Wired is not possible for my ps3 because the router has to be downstairs. I guess the next best thing would be to upgrade my router.

i'm using 200mbps homeplug at home, it's faster than wireless. No need to worry about a weak signal through walls/doors.
