Windows Live Messenger--lost all contacts

I notice my whole Windows Live messenger contact list is all gone... Able to sign in with no problems but my contact list is now empty. Everything was working fine as of 3-4 hours ago.

Sign onto MSN via Beejive on my iphone and the contact list is also empty.

What gives? Anyone having the same problem?

i think i caught a virus, my hotmail is now apparently sending out spams to my hotmail address book...

damn it.

let's hope it fixes itself but somehow i doubt it.

EDIT: turns out my hotmail got hijacked and this is very common (apparently)
