| tweeter setup
My car is 1999 accord sedan, It came with 4 speakers on doors and 2 tweeters on the dashboard i think.
Already have an mid range alpine cd deck installed and 4 pioneer speakers changed on the doors.
Will it make much more difference if I change the tweeters under front windshield? ( are there any tweeter to begin with? or have i been falsely informed?)
If there are tweeters and it will make an obvious sound difference, please suggest a brand or model of tweeter to buy,
thx!

if your accord is ex or ex-l then you have 6 (2 tweeters by the front windshield)
by just changing the tweeters, you will not here much of a difference. If you want to have better sound range then I suggest getting a set of Hertz Component spakers. It'll have the speakers for the front door and tweeters.
and do you have the sound thru out amped? or is it just thru the deck?

Everyone's ears are different, Hertz are great. But go around to different audio shops, bring a CD of your OWN. Compare the speakers that interest you with the same song.
An amp is always better, cleaner power then a deck

Yes you can add a pair of tweeters to the factory location. By doing so it will give your soundstage a much needed lift but it might make the over all sound a little bright.
If your interested pm me and I can quote you for a set plus instalation

hey i have the same car as you
finding tweeters that fit in that same spot is gonna be hard to find
i have components and i have the 6.5 in the door as well as a tweet in the door as well
i drilled a hole for it right in front of the door handle
and imo it sounds great
the sound stage is right where i want it
and i also disconnected the stock tweeters

Yes, adding tweets can be a little audibly 'confusing' but doing it the right way by choosing a good set of components can make a huge difference especially with a more powerful amplifier. If you are on a budget though, you can still get away with an efficient set of components run off of deck power.
