to get pikachu colored pichu you needed to dl some special thing before the game was even released.

my top 6 i'm using rite now is Gengar, Alakazam, Dragonite, Ho-oh, Manaphy, Pikachu

ya i'm using pikachu coz i caught one that can fly and surf XD~ + my 2 legendary pokemon Ho-oh and Manaphy basically rapes everything ~ all lvl 55+

Just bought a nice cheap DSi from RS just to play this game (using an Acekard2i and it works perfectly).

Currently playing HeartGold (since the majority seems to be on SoulSilver) and loving every minute of it. Chose Chikorita as my starter.

Still, nothing beats the original 151 with the red/blue/yellow versions. Though I've learned to accept and like up to 250. NOTHING more though. Eff' the rest

hate this game some pokemon can't evolve unless u trade them =\

Wasn't it also like that for the original blue/red/yellow/gold/silver versions?

For example, evolving Haunter to a Gengar, you're required to trade it with someone.

this game is so much easier to trade than previously -_- just grab a friend or someone on rev and trade thru wifi.. at least you don't have to do it in person.. be thankful

If you guys have an R4, apparently the Wood firmware fixes Pokemon SS/HG.

For those using Acekard or Acekard2i on the other hand, download the AKAIO Firmware 1.6RC1 firmware. SS/HG works 100% great with no freezes or black-screens. Using it myself on my DSi.

anyway i can play on my ds emulator? all the ones i dl are either japanese or dont work :(

not sure...i just dled one...but it stops working after you make ur character

it sucks that u cant get mew or celebi unless ur in usa from special promotions

dont think its possible to get hacked pokemon into this version

hack it for a platinum and trade over. That's what I did. Use pokesav and make your unobtainable pokemon in plat/diamond and trade to your hg/ss

:D might start playing it if i can get a mew/celebi

Does the Ds Lite and regular R4 require some sorta tweak for it to play?

^ u need a snorlax to be an elite trainer

tyranitar screws up your team becuase of sandstorm but hes a beast... typhlosion is a weak ass pokemon if you play competitively online. same with politoed. Dragonite is destroyed by icebeam, get salemence if you can.

gengar and togekiss are sweet though.
