P.S. if a spammer follows you, just don't follow them back and they will automatically either be removed by Twitter or unfollow you in 3 days. Usually 3 days...I know what tool they're using. |

its not who or how many follows you. it is who you follow. |

the only thing that pisses me off is the few friends of mine who have FB, Twitter and a blog, then a program that autoposts across all three. So they post on the blog and then Twitter tweets the title and a link to the blog and then FB posts the title and the link to the blog AS WELL as a link to the tweet. It's fucking ridiculous. I will admit I follow two twitter accounts, well ok now only one (Newlywedsontjob and Shitmydadsays) but I have them in my Fastdial on Firefox. But 99.99% of what gets posted on twitter is useless. Aside from the purely comedic ones, I can't think of anyone or anything that I want to know every little update on, immediately. |

It isn't a contest to see how many are following you. Most people try to be nice and do this if you follow me then I follow you thing. But really you should only follow the twitts you actually care about and find useful. |
I actually stopped using FB as much because I find Twitter being a better social networking tool+stay updated with your friends. Some might find it lame or the concept stupid, but tell that to those of us who use it daily and actually enjoy staying connected with others knowing what they are doing that very second. |
^ that's called stalking |
It's true...Crayon stalks me on Twitter all the time. |

so you know what all of your clients are doing at every second? yeah that's creepy. |
It helps you gain a better perspective on their ever-changing needs and react immediately. |
I've had a twitter account for a long time but it certainly took a good learning curve to understand the language, converstaions and community. What it is in Canada and definately different from the States and I am actually kind of glad that it's not being flooded by the "OMG I AM POOING" Twits YET. If you follow the right people and interact with the right crowd.....Twitter definately gives you a headsup of what is happening around town and the supply and demand of your market if you are into business. There are tons of amazing PRs and marketing people making good use of the service while providing informative and creative entertainment for the day. I'm having fun with it so far...... |
I lol'ed when you were talking about being flooded by poo I throw some of those out there "taking a dump" or "I didn't eat any corn" then you get some texts telling you how disgusting you are Don't really use it much anymore as it's pretty dull after a while and 140 characters is too limiting |
For me it was really hard to get into at first but it's all worth it. I've met so many amazing people and been to a lot of great events over the past year now. Glad to have done it because it's helped my business and who-to-know (follow) people in this city! Plus I get to stalk Maggie .. and Ronin from time to time |
I use twitter for two reasons, NHL trade deadline and July1st free agents other then that I don't give two shits about what someone had to eat or what happened to them at work today. Posted via RS Mobile |
^ If you take the time to look into the better contents that people post....there is a lot of hidden treasures there. Treat it as like a website that you frequent...like a RSS feed with a real person behind each thread.....like the NSFW thread that you check everyday....:p |
Hmmmm really, can you post some examples :D Posted via RS Mobile |
lol..noob |
facebook is for people i know but hate and twitter is for people I don't know but like. |
i mainly use twitter for following updates from businesses and organizations. Much more convenient and simple than facebook imo. facebook is geared more towards networking with friends and family. |
