It's time to get over brand perception. Genesis and Genesis Coupe were great cars. Hyundai really making a name for themselves. Their biggest hurdle is their name and what people perceive of it.

If it doesn't come with a manual transmission I would never buy one.

^No, it's been confirmed that the North American market only gets the 6spd manual with the base GLS. Interesting enough, the new Tuscon can be equipped with a 6spd manual on the base model as well...

If they keep this up, in 5 or so yrs Hyundai will be up there with Toyota and Honda. Not in terms of sales, but in brand recognition

IMO a license plate makes the car look a bit better.

do you guys think that ^ looks better with the blacked out grille and no huge H badge up front?

jpark: any specs on that car? coilovers? air ride? wheel/tire specs? fender mods?

sure the new turbo 2L provides great hp/tq #s Vs V6 competitors, however for a DD, a turbo 4 will never be as easy to drive in the city like a 6 cylinder. I have a 240hp RDX and I used to have a 270hp TL.....on paper the #s look similar, but my TL was way more enjoyable to drive as a DD. Trying to change lanes when someone is making a left turn is way more nerve racking in my RDX due to turbo lag....nothing is nicer than having some good torque off idle.....

hyundai is using such a small turbo, if you're in the right gear theres no lag.

the coupe 2.0 builds full boost and torque at something like 2300rpm
