Vancouver Slang Dictionary
 

I want to undertake a project that is like a dictionary of slang that is unique to Vancouver.

Its gonna be like urban dictionary but more Vancouver-oriented. Does anyone know a good or free platform to use??

btw does anyone want to participate in this too??

quite a lot actually. I've always thought that Vancouver has a very interesting slang.

I'd be somewhat down for this. I've got friends here in Surrey that I never hear anywhere else if you intend to include the rest of the GVRD.

Also, I wonder who will write the AsNoobAsItGets and 14 dolla balla wiki entries.

LOL... wow I have never heard of foig nor ceeb.

what's the best platform to do this in? I originally thought of wiki, but it doesn't look as friendly as urbandictionary.. I want a platform like urbandictionary where people can also define it themselves or comment on the definition or add their own.

okay since we are on topic.. are people from vancouver the only ones who use the term "lg"? cause apparently alot of people dont know that it stands for little girl..

I dated a Toronto girl who has never heard the term "honger" til she got to Vancouver. None of her friends back in TO heard of it too.

I never heard that term except on RS. It seems like nothing more than a PC version of "jailbait" anyway
It's not very common in HK either. You hear more people use "Hongky" instead, which I think is stupid

reminded me when I was using the term LG all my friends thought I was referring to the brand.

You're probably going to end up with a bunch of nerd/internet slangs or RS inside jokes. No one's going to get it and it'll make Vancouver look weird.
