* Drivers of cars running 13.99 or quicker are required to wear an NHRA approved Snell 2000 or newer helmet (Note: As of January 1, 2007 the Snell 95 helmet will no longer be legal to use at NHRA / MRP race events). Passengers are allowed in vehicles running 14.00 seconds and slower provided they wear their seatbelt and a Snell approved helmet. All drivers of convertibles regardless of ET must wear a Snell approved helmet.
you'd be pretty wrong then. Taken right off the website.

edited for those of you too lazy to look them up: Street Legals Rules

I've been racing at Mission for years.. and it's always been 13.99 with a hard top. Go read the website as Inaii pointed out, it's clear as day.

And EVO 8 guy will probably do low 14's on his first few runs, AWD, just foor it to 6k rpm and pop the clutch and let the AWD do the work haha.

BTW how is burnout comp at 4 if gates dont open til 4 30?

its people like u that leads to lots and lots of broken drivetrains on awd cars.

jlenko 04-10-2010 05:49 AM

So.. who went? Any good times? Or did the snow get in the way? :lol

civic_rice 04-10-2010 07:24 AM

i went out. was a decent night. track is still way to cold for most people to get a decent time. i managed a 13.6@104 on streets, but i wont be doing that again. wheel hop is a bitch

TheSalesman 04-10-2010 10:32 AM

^ what car?
sounds like its got a 12.9 in it.

jlenko 04-10-2010 11:40 AM

At 104 mph... hard to say. What's your 60 foot like?

TheSalesman 04-10-2010 01:01 PM

i ran 12.8 @ 105mph.
1.760ft

jlenko 04-10-2010 01:07 PM

1.7! Not bad at all... Good tires or slicks?

Inaii 04-10-2010 01:13 PM

civic_rice 04-11-2010 01:30 AM

nah its got more then that in there....running my bald street tires didnt help....i was only able to cut a 2.2 60 foot...but i had the setup in my 4 door last year and ran a 12.9 with slicks...figure this hatch should run a 12.5 when the weather is better and i drag out the slicks and give er what she has

I didn't even get to go. I was just about to the front of the line and then the car crashed and I never got to go.

It was my first time and I was nervous as hell. I was the red Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T. I think I am going back this Friday.

Well, I didn't get to see it as I was in the line but some crappy car crashed I guess. They had to clean it up and by the time they did it was too cold to go.

civic_rice 04-11-2010 01:06 PM

ya buddies festiva that runs low 12's blue the diff right out of the tranny when he shifted into second. at least he was smart and got off to the side right away. they should shut it down the pass before that cause some hero in a skyline decided to lift a head or somthing just past the 60' and continue down the track the entire way smoking out the track and dropping coolant

alcoolaid 04-11-2010 10:25 PM

So what did those R35's run?

TheSalesman 04-11-2010 10:52 PM

Those R35's run 11's

I would NEVER do it to my own EVO, I don't even own a AWD car atm. I'm just saying. Mabye I should of put /sarcasm to calm your nerves...

seekerbeta 04-12-2010 09:53 AM

you guys that run slicks, if you want better times, run with the Outlaw Class, they always prep the track with gold dust and VHT just before that class, so you are bound to get better traction than running in the middle of 1000 Civics on street tires that tear all that prep up

Phil@rise 04-12-2010 11:56 AM

It was a great time. Our rb31 skyline did 13.5 @ 105mph missing third gear and running .7 bar boost. I ran 15.02 @ 91 mph in the parts hauler dakota with an embarrassing rt of .9 and the first 100 or so feet just wheel spin and hop. (need some shocks and some drag radials) and the bike posted a 11.2 @124 mph.
We'll be going again in a couple of weeks once we put some real tires on the parts hauler and boost up the skyline.

White skyine red rims? or that one that blew up on the inside lane?

theSpeedSyndicate 04-16-2010 11:54 PM

We will be there on the 23rd with our "work in progress" S class.

If anyone would like, I wouldn't mind setting up a small pre-meet at our shop in Burnaby.
