mkv2vob

Tech guys,

Noob question about mkv2vob program.

Ive been using it for a while now to watch my .mkv files on my ps3.

However, starting today, I cant seem to add a file to start transcoding.

Does it have something to do with the bitrate? The file has Chinese characters all over it, but it is a mkv file still. Is there different .mkv files?

Looks like this: [魔戒 I].The.Lord.of.the.Rings.The.Fellowship.of.the.Ring. 2001.BluRay.720p.x264.AC3-CMCT

I switched back to files that proabbly made in America, like King Kong, and I could add it.

Help?

Maybe it's not a proper MKV. Check the specs and resolution. Never heard of that scene group CMCT before

Or just redownload it...

^^^Yea! I was about to give up last night and gave it one last shot. Removed the Chinese characters from the folder path as well, then it worked.

Didnt know that would make a difference.

Thanks guys!

I stopped using that program and switched to PS3 Media Server. It transcodes MKV's on the fly while you're streaming them..

^^ MKV2VOB doesn't transcode, it remuxes. So it keeps image and audio quality, and doesn't waste CPU cycles (and power).

True enough. Not enough quality for me to really notice though.
