Well, I was thinking more so of how to not have the water go everywhere, not so much not only on not getting yourself wet.
That's the whole point, though... anyone CAN get out of that situation without getting wet... but they don't want the water to get all over the place, which is why they refuse to let go.
If she was asian she could have just started spinning the bowl on the stick like they do with plates, then lower the stick and take the bowl off while it is spinning.
