Back with the new g

Sup

I totalled off my Celica in September and it took awhile to get everything cleared through insurance and get paid out (not at fault) so my long and epic car search began. I found it in Winnipeg. I am here in Vancouver for school so I got it insured in Saskatchewan and drove it over.

It's a 2006 g35 coupe 6MT :) has 65,000km on it and it is pretty damn gorgeous. Theres a few stone chips but nothing drastic at all.

Few questions:

1) Where is the best and resonably priced place to get a detailing job done
2) Tint shop that does 15% all around and does flawless work with warrenty
3) What do you guys think?

n-motion for the tint

For detailing jobs, take a look at our Sponsor Autowerkes Exclusive. I guarantee that you will be absolutely pleased at the work he does.

Otherwise, forum member BrendanS also does a bang-up job but he's busier than a bee in spring. :D

Check out the Car Care Forum for more info

n-motion is near me and from their website looks pretty good, will call them up later :) I see they also do 3M protection. That's awesome, I have paint chips in the bumper and hood but if I ever get it resprayed I'll definately get 3M put on.

Again, looks pretty good. I'll call him up later on and see what's up :)

^ we have local nissan/infiniti club that you could join niclub.ca

on the board we have a guy who does some pretty damn good detailing and he charges very little.

also
there are some new issues with tinting a G coupe, you know how the window raises/lowers when the door is opened/closed? well that doesn't help the drying process so unfortunately you might get some bubbles. but definitely hit up n-motion and look for ryan.

^^ Brendan Siu (604) 346 9583 for the detail

oh snap, you're right about the window thing.. That could give some problems.. There has to be a way to disable it.

*edit*

found a solution:

"it doesn't matter if you have a good job, bad job, and no you don't need to crawl out the trunk. What you need to do is remove the screw that is underneath the dome light/window actuator that is located on the door jamb. Once removed, the window will no longer roll down upon opening the door."

looks clean!
you say tint 15% all around, keep in mind we have that new law that you can't have any tint above the B pillar

I had mr car insured under SGI for over a year and I was paying $1,200 per year for the exact same coverage that is costing my $2,700/ year here. Gotta love Sasky.

^ how the heck are you guys paying around $1 grand for insurance for a G coupe ? that's crazy low.... I'm paying out my ass here, more than double than you guys.

what kind of plan are you with if I may ask ? is it 1 way coverage ?

Sask only has 1 kind of insurance for vehicles from SGI. Then you can get a package policy to add-on to the insurance if you wish which gives you way better benefits and only $200 deductable :)

I have a package policy with my insurance.

This is the only thing I could come up with as far as SGI goes:
http://www.sgi.sk.ca/sgi_pub/vehicle...e_coverage.htm

And honestly, (lol), my 2003 celica when I had it was $1400/yr. Go figure. Age was not a factor or driving record. I had a discount on it for being a "safe" driver so it was $1200/yr.
