sub install help!

so i just got a a alpine type r 1222d and i theres this rubber circle thing that came with it but i forgot about when i screwed in the sub to the box.i think its called a screw cover gasket or something...but i dont know what to do with....do i need it or no?can someone please help me?

The rubber gasket will help to ensure a seal around the subwoofer... good idea to use it for sure.

Its purely cosmetic so completely uneccessary.
Catalin, Its not a gasket, its a screw cover that goes on the outside of the sub, not in between the sub and box.

if you want to use it, just push it in the groove where your screws are
its just for a cleaner look

but like orgasm_donor said, it is purely cosmetic
and it wont affect sound what so ever
