well, the Veyron IS ugly

Great68 04-13-2010 12:12 PM

The Veyron is built for poseurs. People that want to be able to brag that they have the fastest production car in the world, which produces 1000horsepower, and all in total luxury.

The McLaren F1 is built for true drivers.

ericthehalfbee 04-13-2010 12:18 PM

^ F1 may be built for performance, but it doesn't change the fact that most of them were sold to "poseurs" who have no idea how to drive them.

So instead of bragging their car has 1,000HP they brag they have the best "pure sports car" ever made.

Same shit, different pile.

BTW, head of VAG when Veyron was being developed owns an Enzo, and was also famous for wrecking an F1 on the Autobahn back when he worked at BMW.

:stupid: I'll accept the fails, Still it looks better than both the mclaren and veyron.
How about SV LP 670, FXX, koenigsegg ccx, Ford GT40 with TT kit produces 1000HP.

We're talking all aspects of the car. If you're only talking HP, why not just throw in a jacked up Supra to your list.

BMW M power in that Mclaren ;)

id take the bugatti though, two different cars. Bugatti doesnt even break sweat when doing 250 mph

Well the veyron is just HP, its fast thats about as good as it gets with a veyron, CCX FXX LP670 SV all have track feel to them GT40 TT could be to, a Supra with 1000 HP isnt exactly a track car ethier (unless your refering to drags).

I can't recall the numbers on the McClaren F1, but isn't the gearing of the top gear (5th or 6th) really loooong so it can achieve the 240mph? or is the gearing all fairly balanced?

twitchyzero 04-14-2010 01:51 PM

MP4-12C's rear is so ugly..so really they dont have a right to bash on the fugly bugatti
whats with the snout exhaust?

The Mclaren F1 would be a great daily driver, enough seating for your wife and kid and still have space for side luggages and groceries!

here's a vid of a Mclaren F1 race spec converted back into street spec

and a old review on the F1

I think the F1 tops out at a redline limited low 230 mph. The 241 was reached with limiter removed.
