Need Opinion on XXR 962 ( Pic Content )

Alrite, getting kinda choked cause i cant find my perfect VOLKS so it seems that I may have to go the CHEAP WAY cause summer is almost here...:cry::cry:

Anyway im thinking of getting XXR 962's in gold 17x9 with +35 offset. The pros, they have a crazy deep dish which is what im all about, good stance, and im going for the whole dropped crazy offset look...

Cons: HEAVY ASS FUCK, MADE AND CHINA, and well XXR's lol....

So what do you guys think??? Here are some teasers of other RSX that have these rims but IMAGINE PEARL WHITE YEAHHHH!!! LMAO

PS: If anyone has any rims in 18's that are not rice as fuck let me know i have cash on hand thx.

If you like them go for it..
Dont be worried that someone's gonna make fun of you cause you arent rockin $600/piece wheels
BTW how heavy are they?

saiko 04-14-2010 10:30 AM

Imo, they don't fit the lines of a RSX. Don't settle, get the rims you really want the first time 'round.

* Saw you by Queensboro bridge the other day,, why not look into painting the stockers gunmetal like the type-s wheels?

-EuroRSN- 04-14-2010 10:33 AM

are u guys gonna make fun of me cause im rocking $600 wheels? lol i think their like 25lb :(

disagree. i think they suit the rsx really well. they look pretty good

-EuroRSN- 04-14-2010 10:37 AM

^ see im thinking that too and for the price you absolutely CANT GO WRONG other then my S being as slow as a truck lol

Energy 04-14-2010 10:51 AM

The spokes are too flat and squarish so it looks cheap. If it had more depth and curvyness it would be a lot better... Think Work Meister or SSR. But if you like it go ahead! They don't look bad at all.

Save your money and put those towards buying used wheels online

hotong 04-14-2010 11:06 AM

If I were you I would go for these:

Advan RS
Advan RG2
Volk CE28n

flagella 04-14-2010 11:27 AM

^obviously those don't seem to be in the price range for OP.

gramser57 04-14-2010 11:50 AM

I would get Varrstoen instead of xxr, but the offset might be too aggressive for your RSX
18x9 +15. They also have 18x8 +35 but they look weak. They are about $1000 for set and a extra $300 if you want them custom powder coated.

Those are my choices but in no way am i buying those rims brand new. They cost as much as a civic. I did find CE28's but this bitch flaked out on me so now i have nothing. My budget would be around $2000 maybe more but i cant find anything. Are there any good sites to buy used rims something like www.rbwheels.com

They are 1000 a set, I'm unsure how they will turn out on your rsx though.

hotong 04-14-2010 01:43 PM

Garage 5?

Be prepared to pay an arm and leg for one

15 inch wheels starting at 250 a piece

!Yaminashi 04-14-2010 02:36 PM

Garage 5 is just expensive in general

flagella 04-14-2010 04:25 PM

You can get a set of 17 inch RPF1s shipped to Point Roberts for under $1,000. Even after factoring the gas and border taxes, it should still be cheaper than getting them here. Or you can just find a used set here.

Those are great wheels but I must admit I get tired of seeing them everywhere.

EuroRSN, try searching up "ADV1" they have some nice rims similar style to what you posted, they weren't as famous before the whole reventon pics

they have sponsors on 6speedonline, so maybe you can get some quotes there
