Leisure on Alexandra (Shaved ice)

So this place use to be my favorite for shaved ice... a big bowl of ice served with a bunch of varieties including different fruits and beans.

Anyways, went there couple days ago with a friend and just ordered shaved ice. I noticed they changed the menu and I thought it was for the better.
Ordered the molasses one, and the lady just kept standing there. I'm like.. now what? And she's like, you have GOT TO order another thing. I am like, what? We just shave ice. And she points out in the menu that it says one person has to order AT LEAST one thing... Biggest wtf for me, because this place had never been the kind of place to charge minimums as opposed to Kam Do or Honolulu or some shit like that... But it became an EVEN WORST one because it makes one person order at least one thing..

The item averages about $5, so their minimum is at least $5 per person.. which is a fucking rip off. It's a shame because now I have to find another awesome place for shaved ice now. I'm not going back there again.

Thanks for checking out this rant... but Any suggestions for good shaved ice? I went to BBT cafe on Kerrisdale before but it was alright.

its 4 dollars and you choose 7 item

its my favorite place cuz they layer it nicely and has an interesting selection.

first they layer ice.. then you choose the 7 item.. then they layer more ice.. then top with condensed milk..

they have lots of different flavored jelly so i usually end up getting some weird mix such as passion fruit/green mango/strawberry/green apple/etc.. all in one go

Gogo Tea in Richmond had decent shaved iced last time I went (they have menu on their website). Kat's Tea Hut used to as well but I haven't gone since they changed owners.
