Link?

My gf (and I) definately want the 6spd - better brakes = bonus.

So you guys are roughly at $80/fill-up?

Sorry for the jack, bob chan, but since you already got yours.....lol

average 400-425km a tank

requires premium gas tho
65L

insurance aint cheap either...around $2500 for road star

wow, that IS a gas guzzler, jeez.

Guess I'd be looking into the tsx when i'm upgrading.

!Aznboi128 04-21-2010 08:47 AM

well my friend gets 450-475 with mixed hwy/city

not sure why insurance is so much tho... I went to ICBC to get a quote for myself (35%) it was 2200, I maxed everything out as well...

Teh Doucher 04-21-2010 03:38 PM

lol 400-450 a tank in the city? i wish my car got that, it gets about 350km out of a 50L tank and it runs on 91 octane.. when i used to drive out to vancouver for school, i would get about 450km to a tank, so ya i guess thats mixed highway/city driving.

tsx aint tat great on fuel either

SLIGHTLY better than TL but not by much, i know cuz i was in the market for either of these two cars couple years ago.

TSX also requires premium, so i figured for a couple dollar more, you get much more power out of a TL by sacrificing some milleage here and there.

TSX lacks torque.....pulling tat heavy ass around.

congrads on your TL, how much did you get it for?

We got the car for 20k which is fairly decent considering the car only has 71k kms on it and is CPO meaning it came with new tires and any faulty parts would have been replaced at the dealership already. The day we visited the dealership (Burrard) there was a private sale going on where we got the GST knocked off the car as well as a free HP netbook. The car is in super clean condition so we're happy with the purchase. The car is for my sister so performance etc. was not important, thus we didn't need the Type-S.

fliptuner:

No worries about the threadjack. We're happy with our purchase and good luck with yours.

and when a car lacks torque you push it harder.

I had a 03 accord with the k24 160hp 4 cylinder I got the same mileage as my 99 accord j30 200hp v6.

It's really the way that you drive as well. If I don't accelerate as quick I squeeze 450 a tank.

Chances is in real life driving situation, with the traffic and what not a tsx would be quite similar to the tl in terms of gas mileage

XtC-604 04-21-2010 11:10 PM

This is exactly the reason why honda/acura or just about 95% of the car manufacturers have stopped making sports cars or rather fun to drive cars. OMGFGOFMGOFMGO FUEL MILEAGE IS IN TEH SHIT HOLE.
FUN, CHEAP, RELIABLE

just dont put it before ur woman....or if you do dont post it on here

Klutch 04-22-2010 02:26 PM

mines will get usually 350-380 before the light comes on depending on how i drive...haha

Mugen EvOlutioN 04-22-2010 03:54 PM

wow!!!
mostly city? im assuming ur foot aint light on the gas pedal

:D

Acura604 04-22-2010 11:31 PM

i've got an 08.

i drive it everyday.. mon to fri is 70% hwy, 30% city.

I average 520km to 540km to the tank.

car is solid and still one of the best looking sedans on the road.

CP.AR 04-25-2010 04:44 PM

I got '04, 5AT

i do the complete opposite to Acura604 (30% hwy, 70% city)
I'm looking at around 450km/tank (min 91octane)

'05 should have all the retarded flaws from the '04 ironed out, but still check for the following:

subwoofer rattle
moonroof liner sagging
fit and finish of plastic bits and pieces (ie: unusually big gaps)

but yeah, it's a very fun FWD full size sedan, can be extremely civilized, yet at the same time if you push on the pedal it gives you a decent push (or pull i should say)

CHECK OUT http://www.acurazine.com, or more specifically the 3G TL forum

I have an 05 Tl and the subwoofer rattle on the drivers side is driving me insane. Otherwise the pull on the steering wheel from a stop to go, if your heavy on the gas, can be a bit daunting. good car though

izzer 08-07-2010 12:17 AM

^+1 the subwoofer rattle is so annoying

love my TL-S

JV6 08-07-2010 02:03 PM

i had my 05 tL for 2 years now, runs great, never had problems and looks good. the rims i mean =P
