Seattle Woodland Zoo and visit Bruce Lee's grave at Lakeview Cemetary?

winson604 08-16-2007 08:10 AM

For $39.50 a person you can get a city pass that includes the following activities.

# Seattle Aquarium
# Argosy Cruises - Seattle Harbor Tour
# The Museum of Flight
# Pacific Science Center
# Woodland Park Zoo

Good deal if you ask me. Along with that you can shop downtown and hit up the cheesecake factory for some good ass cake. If you plan to stay 1 night you can throw in clubbing too. Perhaps even watch a Mariners game while your at it.

if you go with a bunch of guys and wants to go sight seeing, then yeah ^^ has some great ideas.

if you are going with girl. errrr better stay with outlets.

winson604 08-16-2007 04:17 PM

^^
lol the outlet thing can be so true at times

But the whole bunch of guys thing at the Aquarium, Zoo and shit seems kind of homo to me so I gotta disagree there

Check out Pike's Place market if you're in the downtown area of Seattle. And don't forget to grab a bowl of seafood chowder!!

Day Activities in Seattle?

I'm just wondering what activities there are to do in Seattle if I go down for the day?

I'm looking for stuff a bunch of guys can do when we hang out for the daytime after lunch & before dinner...

... and before anyone tosses this out there - NO SHOPPING!

its not 39.50 anymore, 39.50 is only for kids, and for adults its 60bucks now.

the price went up a bit

or you can get it for a cheaper price??

Obsideon 04-21-2010 03:59 PM

Baseball is SO BORING lol ...

bcrdukes 04-21-2010 06:29 PM

^
Dude, I used to think that baseball was SUPER BORING, I would rather watch paint dry.

BUT! One year, I was in Toronto and got some cheap tickets to see the Blue Jays, man, it was A LOT of fun. The crowds and announcers are very interective so if you are willing to participate, it is a tonne of fun! Grab yourself some beer, a hot dog or nachos, pop corn, you name it - it makes it a lot of fun! :)

The Experience Music Project is pretty cool if you're into music and it's history. It's right by the Space Needle.

aznrsx1979 08-04-2010 02:00 PM

There's also the Museum of Glass down towards Tacoma. One of these days I'll have to check out the Museum of Flight. Only pictures I saw were of the grand opening party that a friend went to because he was the project architect.

For what you see, EMP is pretty expensive and not really worth it.

Amaru 08-06-2010 03:43 PM

Museum of Flight rocks. So does Woodland Park Zoo.

Splmash 08-07-2010 12:58 PM

I went down there yesterday. Downtown Seattle is a pretty little place. We did a lot of shopping both there and in Bellevue.

When in Seattle, I recommend just walking around its retail core and grabbing a bite at the Cheesecake Factory. The portions are very generous and the cheesecakes are well, cheesecake. =D

Road Domes. Something to do while you drive and not so much seeing.

All jokes aside, I went to Downtown Seattle on a Sunday Afternoon, and parked around Pike Street. Parking is free on Sundays and Holidays, but a homeless lady came up to me and asked me for change, and I gave her some change, which thinking back at it would've been kind of smart instead of risking her vandalizing/breaking into my car.

We went to the big wall of gum, which was disgusting but pretty cool to see, shopped around Pike Place, and walked around Downtown Seattle and shopped at the stores we could find there. That took up a whole day for us, and we enjoyed it a lot.

When we got hungry we went to get the Clam Chowder with Bread bowl... a bit on the pricey side because its Downtown.. but it tasted amazing! Definitely will recommend. It's in one of the bigger alleys around Pike Place... can't remember exactly where it was though, sorry.

It's like walking in Downtown Vancouver, but in a slightly different environment, and not having to worry about work. It's a great feeling

Amaru 08-10-2010 04:48 PM

^^ hchang basically did all the cool shit there is to do in downtown Seattle imo. EMP and the Space Needle are kinda cool but both are pricey and they won't fill more than half a day. It's not nearly as nice as Vancouver, frankly, so don't expect the same level of cleanliness and opulence. It's perhaps got more character though (the whole downtown core sort of feels like gas town).

Best outlet mall is in Tulalip (on a native reserve), near Bellingham. Museum of Flight is in south Seattle, Woodland Zoo is quite a ways north of Seattle IIRC.

I suggest listening to AM730 both north and southbound before you reach the border to determine whether to go to the Truck Crossing or Peace Arch border.

Be careful of Washington State Highway Patrol. My one and only speeding ticket came in Snohomish County, about an hour north of Seattle. In my case the friendly cop reduced the fine to $130 but it could've been much worse as I was doing 100mph in a 60mph zone. (The I5 rocks, it's so tempting to speed.)

Random: met my wife in Seattle, now I'm seeing a marriage counselor there! Not sure if marriage counseling even works though.

Anyway, enjoy the trip man.

shawn79 08-20-2010 10:57 PM

what are those things that beep and tracks police on highways?
