video mentioned that the apartment was where him and his family used to live, but i think he does live there alone now
pretty awesome, would be a pain when you have to use the washroom real bad, or if you come home drunk one night or something, but brilliant and innovative nonetheless

That's awesome! What a great use of space. That room is about the size of my apartment in Tokyo. Actually, my place might be a little bigger...I would've loved to have all that in that shoebox.

The main point of that design is not to be comparable to our standards of living here in Vancouver, where we're used to bigger spaces. For those that say I'd rather live in my current house or whatever, well, no shit.... but it's amazing what he has achieved in an otherwise TINY ASS APARTMENT. 330 sqft!

On a fitted track with padding in between the contact points of each wall it would be as loud it should be very quiet. Only reason things make noise when they move around is because of friction. If you look at the actual floor plan there is a area that doesn't have moving walls. So yes you can take a shower or take a dump while someone else is using the kitchen. Quote:

This can be very nice for someone living alone but probably impossible for more than one person. What would one person do while the other is taking a bath? | |

Because he has a projection screen? Or simply put he could move his dinner to the tv room after he's done cooking? Or maybe for the simple fact that you can move electrical cables easily but you can't move plumbing around which is why all the rooms that use water are on the outside wall with fixed piping? Quote:

If it's those really old buildings like the one he lives in it's worth almost nothing because of the recent building collapsing incident...
