Revscene.net Sport Bike/VIC/VLS Coffee Meet Series - June 2010
 

Hey folks,

The weather is starting to warm up and a lot more sunnier days ahead of us. Let's get those bikes and cars insured, tuned up, detailed and ready to rock the summer!

I would like to start hosting a series of coffee meets for the summer. I will however, extend the invitation out to the VLS and VIC forums. I will be more than happy if you would like to step up to the plate to organize a meet (doesn't have to be monthly) and to lead group rides!

Meets will occur on a monthly basis and will generally take place at the middle of the month on Friday evenings. We will meet at random generic locations accessible by everyone to meet for a coffee or something and if you guys want, go for a ride to a destination. Remember, this is a friendly meet open to everybody. All rules/etiquette apply (i.e. no excessive revving, stunts, wheelies etc.) Leave the attitude at home or don't show up.

I have created ONE central thread in regards to the meet series. This thread will be bumped at least 2 weeks in advance prior to the meet. Please check this thread for meet info. See you all there! :D

But the Vespa is not a sport bike... :D just teasing lol.

Thou must meet at Starbucks on Robson.

After riding a sport bike, I want one.

But not yet. :p

Due to popular request via PM, it has been decided that the VIC/VLS Coffee Meet be moved to Saturday, May 15th. Same place same time.

Meet is exactly a week away! See you all there! :)

It will be in June. Time and place has not been finalized yet.

Next meet date/time/place will be posted shortly in the next few days. :)

Whooo I can't for sure say that I'll come out due to a surgery with a 1-week recovery period in june, but if it's before/after that period I will definitely come out!

Meets will generally be held during the 2nd Friday or Saturday of each month. :)

So do you guys just meet there and just drink coffee/talk for a couple of hours? Or is there some sort of ride after?

Met there, talked for a bit, went for coffee and talked some more. No ride planned, but your welcome to see if others want to go for a ride.

More of a social event than anything, although I believe everybody who showed up enjoyed the chit chat. Keep an eye out for the next meet. :)

If the weather doesn't work in our favour tomorrow, meet will be cancelled and rescheduled for next Saturday, June 26.

Due to a lack of participation and interest, today's meet is cancelled despite the weather.

We will reschedule for Saturday, June 19 @ 7pm (tomorrow) at the same location.
