this uncle of mine has always measured up his son to myself as long as I can remember. I think having his son attend my wedding alone would be +1 for my dad, now he cant have that happen

It's only important to people who can't get their priorities straight.

Just wondering did the uncle reply?

UPDATE

Got the RSVP back from my uncle and he declined. I dont think I've seen the fiance that happy before from a decline.

its better this way, I didnt really want him there, but I felt it was wrong not to invite him...

Now if anyone else in the family has issue with him not being there, you can tell them it was his own choice not to attend. Win-win!

You can consider this happy ending a wedding gift from all of us at RS.

That's all you're getting, too, since we're a bunch of cheap bastards!

UPDATE

The cousin of mine just got engaged and married within 6 months. They had a small wedding of around 30 ppl, I think mainly family, and my parents and I didnt get an invite even though my other uncles/aunts/cousins did.

Kind of sucks that it turned out that way, but I have no regrets.

Keep us update on that front! Didn't you say this is the first girl your cousin has gone out with? There could be some potential drama there, in the future!

ask your uncle how much money he was planning to send you, multiple that amount by 3 and send it back to him; so he can take his son and son's girlfriend out for dinner to celebrate your wedding somewhere else ...
