Major Oil Spill Quote:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worl...=feeds-newsxml |
A giant oil spill off the coast of the U.S. could become the worst in history, it was feared last night @@ holly shit that bad? |
geez, and they say offshore drilling is safe nowadays! |
This is why it is so dangerous to start oil and gas exploration off the coast of British Columbia. We are supposed to have some very rich deposits of oil and gas, but are the environmental risks worth it? |
gas prices are gonna skyrocket by tomorrow |
funny how it happens in the states, and we are totally gonna get FUCKED in the ass better fill up today |
Drill baby drill. |
Come to think of it gas has been at 1.12 or more since it happened anyways Posted via RS Mobile |
Wow... an environmental NIGHTMARE. Sheesh. Also, bad news for BP shareholders :eek5r: |

shit.. need to fill up tonight.. |
they are going to burn the oil http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_louisi..._rig_explosion |
as mentioned, they are going to take the oil out further into the waters to do control burns so the polluted black air will dissipate by the time it reaches the land. |
any idea how this oil spill would affect the quality of the seafood in Vancouver? I think the price is gonna go up QQ |
yay i filled up yesterday... on mcnuggets. what's this thread about? |
its about sweet and sour dipping sauce |
What's interesting is this could have massive effects on the ecology of the basin, a lot of seafood comes from that area. I would hate to be BP right now.. epic nightmare on so many levels. |
from the article i think they are paying about £4 million a day to contain the spill |
for those who worry about rising oil prices, this is barely a dent and nothing compared to hurricane katrina. BP contracted the company "transworld?" to pump the oil, it is not their oil rig which therefore reduces liabilities but who knows? |

NASA pic of oil spill http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/IOTD/view.php?id=43846 |
Boston Pizza is also an oil company huh |
bp=british petroleum |
sigh those nasa pictures we're on the 29th...... +5000 barrels a day..... frankly i'm scared since they have no idea on how to cap that.... concrete dome whatever this isnt similar to the previous oil spills as those had a finite amount of oil where as this one is from a much greater reservoir. |
